As you might know, Katy is in Malaysia! Earlier today she attended the ‘2010 MTV World Stage Live’ in Kuala Lumpur on July 31. Katy Perry along with the groups Bunkface, Wonder Girls, and Tokio Hotel arrived in Malaysia today as part of MTV’s World Stage Concert Tour, ‘Live in Malaysia 2010.’ Prior to taking the stage in front of more than 15,000 screaming fans the four acts had a press conference.
Bunkface looks forward to putting on a good show and they apparently have a “couple of gimmicks” up their sleeves. They unsuccessfully tried to invoke the spirit of Justin Bieber into their portion of the press conference to only a smattering of laughter.
Wondergirls are grateful to be in Malaysia and to their fans for supporting their music and dance, and Tokio Hotel is happy to be back in Malaysia, this time with more of their full production from their European concert tour.
Katy, 25, a guest X Factor judge on the new series, wants to host the party with pal Cheryl once she recovers fully from malaria.
Katy also wants to sing for Simon and his bride Mezhgan Hussainy when they finally tie the knot.
She said: “Simon’s wedding will be great. I am so glad he has finally settled down.
“I think there is still a chance the wedding could be this year from what I am hearing, so I have to start thinking about his wedding gift.
“What do you get the man who has everything?
“I would love to sing for him and his guests at the wedding. That will be my gift to Simon and his wife.”
Katy, getting ready to marry comic Russell Brand later this year, is tipping Simon to become a dad too.
She said: “I think he will make a great dad, I really do. People see Simon’s professional head on TV but that’s what it is, his professional head. Underneath he is a real softie.
“I think he is finally mellowing and would make a great family man.
“I am not sure he will ever be a pipe and slippers man because he loves his work but I am convinced he will make a great dad and husband.”
Katy, who is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, ealier today for the MTV World Stage Live, is also looking forward to teaming up with Cheryl.
She added: “I really hope Cheryl is getting better. She is an absolute sweetheart and one of my favourite girls in the world.
“I think Simon should let me and Cheryl organise his bachelor party.
“I know it’s not custom to have girls at your bachelor party but I know Cheryl and I could organise one that he would never forget. It wouldn’t exactly be a bad thing to have us both there, would it?”
Simon, 51, and Mezhgan, 37, confirmed their engagement earlier this year during an interview on American comic Jay Leno’s talk show.
Katy Perry has broken a US radio record for her new single ‘Teenage Dream’.
The song, which is also the title of Perry’s sophomore album, has been added to 87 radio stations over the course of a week – the highest number of adds for a song ever.
The track was released on Monday to US iTunes and has soared to number three, two places ahead of her last single ‘California Gurls’.
Her debut album One Of The Boys is also on course to return to the US album chart after rising to number five on iTunes.
Last month, Katy Perry broke the US airplay record after ‘California Gurls’ received 11,816 plays in a week – an everage of 90 plays per radio station.
Popstar Katy Perry said that if she ever gets a chance to lock lips with a girl, she would do it with actress Natalie Portman.
The 25-year-old singer has a crush on The Other Boleyn Girl star and thinks it would be incredible to kiss her, FemaleFirst reported online.
“I used to want to kiss Megan Fox, but now she’s married and I’m not so sure about that anymore. Probably Natalie Portman now -she’s hot and smart,” Perry said.
However, the I Kissed A Girl admits she is not too comfortable with the thought of posing naked for a men’s magazine like Playboy.
“I think I would probably say no because that’s like showing all your cards and I always want to keep a couple of aces up my sleeve and, plus, I think there’s a fine line between being a tease and just giving it away. I like to be considered more of a tease, so unfortunately guys you’re never
going to get it,” Perry said.
