Katy Perry scores a chart double this week as her new LP tops the Irish album chart.

Teenage Dream debuts at the number one spot alongside its title track, which heads the singles chart.

Perry’s last album One Of The Boys peaked at number ten.

Fight Like Apes score the second highest new entry of the week as The Body of Christ & Legs of Tina Tuner enters at number three.

Elsewhere, Imelda May’s Love Tattoo jumps 30 places to number 14. The top 20 also sees new entries from Disturbed and The Pretty Reckless at 16 and 18 respectively.

Snoop Dogg is in a “let’s do it again” type of mood.

The rapper announced plans to work with Katy Perry again after the pair’s “California Gurls” collaboration shot to the top of the iTunes singles chart this week. (Perry’s album, Teenage Dream, also hit #1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart this week.)

“We’re trying to get together and do something on my new album … so [I'm] definitely in contact with her,” Snoop told OK! magazine about Perry. “She’s a sweet girl and I had fun making the record with her. Like I said, I’m looking forward to her being on my record as well.”

The album in question is Doggystyle 2: The Doggumentary.

Katy Perry likes a comforting souvenir from every city she stays in – she steals the pillows from her hotel suite. The “I Kissed a Girl” hitmaker is currently on a global trek promoting her new album, “Teenage Dream”, and has taken in New York, the Far East, and Europe.

She traveled from Paris, France to London on Wednesday, September 1 – and confessed she has built up a stash of feathery headrests on her trip. Perry tells BBC’s Radio 1, “I do steal pillows. I took the train, the Eurostar, yesterday and I was really upset that I didn’t steal a pillow from the last place I stayed. I don’t know if pillows are the most sanitary things when it comes to hotels. The pillow covers are okay, but the characters that lie their head there. I mean, think of my head lying on the pillow… (for) that next person (it’s) horrible.”

Brits rejoice! Lovely Katy Perry has said she wants to become one of us when she marries Russell Brand later this year.

In quotes used by The Sun the Teenage Love singer said she wants to have dual nationality after they’re legally wed.

She explained: “When I get married next month, one of the first things I’ll do is apply for dual citizenship.

“I’m not too sure if I have to take a test as I’ve not had time to look into it. But England is like my second home.”

The star has been spending more and more time on our shores since getting together a year ago. She’s even been spotted at a West Ham game with Russ!

Perry has established herself as a woman to be reckoned with, and she has two chances to take home a Moonman at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, airing live September 12 at 9 p.m.

Pop sensation Katy Perry will rock Vienna next month, it has been announced.

Online music and events platform Britishrock.cc reports today (Thurs) that the 25-year-old singer from Santa Barbara, California, USA, is set to hit the stage at Vienna’s Arena concert hall on 6 October.

Perry rose to fame with “I Kissed a Girl” in 2008. The song topped the charts in several countries in the world before she managed to repeated the triumph with follow-up single “Hot n Cold”. Both songs reached number one on the Austrian Singles Chart.

Her third album “Teenage Dream” was released earlier this month.
