Katy Perry’s 27th birthday was 3 weeks ago, but the party took a place last friday and it was fun – a lot! The singer took some of her friends to her Wild West Birthday Ho Down Throwdown in Los Angeles, November 11st. Below you can read a review from the party by JustJured:
Guests arrived in a driveway and hopped aboard a horse-drawn wagon with haystack seating. Life-size cow and bull statues were spread throughout the venue, where hired cowboys twirled lassos around their bodies. A buffet line of Southern comfort food was served including BBQ meats, corn on the cob, and apple pie a la mode.
Darren Criss came straight from the set of Glee with his roommate.
Kyle XY’s Matt Dallas and musician Blue Hamilton loaded up their rifles and lassos with Abduction’s Will Peltz and Just Jared’s Jared Eng at the snap-worthy saloon photo booth.
The hilarious Anna Faris and her Parks & Recreation husband Chris Pratt got silly with Chuck’s Zachary Levi on the dance floor, which had a Dolly Parton impersonator singing and dancing all night long.
Katy was dressed up as a sexy cowgirl while her husband Russell Brand donned Indian garb. Her family also came out to celebrate including her brother, actor David Hudson, and sister Angela.
Robyn, who dressed up as a cactus, checked out the cigar rolling station while actress Zelda Williams and singer JoJo took turns riding the mechanical bull. Yee-haw!
Also in attendance: Raising Hope actress Shannon Woodward, Topher Grace, super producer Dr. Luke, The Help producer Brunson Green, Katy’s stylist Johnny Wujek, designer Markus Molinari (he received a lap dance from a thong-clad male stripper for winning second prize for his rodeo clown outfit), and singer/songwriters Jessie Baylin, Ferras, and Bonnie McKee.
Thanks to kroqjock, we have finally uploaded high quality scans of the Plastic Dreams magazine Spring/Summer 2011 issue featuring Katy on the cover. This Brazilian magazine (released last year in Brazil) was reprinted and given away as a free insert with issues of V-Magazine #71 (with Lady Gaga on the cover). Absolutely love this beautiful photoshoot!
I’ve updated KatyPix.com with some pictures of the latest California Dreams Tour 2011 shows at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on August 20, and at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota on August 23. Katy’s next scheduled appearance will be this Sunday at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles and will then have a week off before resuming the tour in Mexico on September 1st.
I have finally updated our gallery with some new pictures of Katy’s California Dreams Tour show at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois yesterday, August 21, so make sure you view them now!
Katy was stopped by MTV’s Sway Calloway at the Number 10 venue in Dublin on march 28th. Check out high quality images from the appearance. Hopefully we will be able to get the interview soon.
Last night Katy brought the house down when performing in Milan, Italy on the 2nd stop of The California Dreams Tour 2011 which in total has 100+ dates confirmed. She played at the Mediolanum Forum and it was to a sold out crowd. As alway, keep revisiting our tour posts as we constantly update them with new pictures and videos. Katy’s highly anticipated second world tour, the The California Dreams Tour 2011, kicks off this Sunday (February 20) at Campo Pequeno in Lisbon, Portugal, and Katy-Perry.net will bring you all the updates.
While promoting her recent “Teenage Dream” album, Katy expressed she wanted her upcoming tour to be very visual, “I guess I’m looking forward to making music videos on this new album … and I’m really excited about incorporating the look and the idea of some of the songs on tour and making a massive production of it. I’m gonna want a lot of visuals. I want it to be 10 times better than when I was on tour last“.
On her Twitter account, she stated, “I hope that it’s going to engage all of your senses: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch“.

People at the venue say it’s smelling like cotton candy!
The set is super colorful and covered with candy like big lollipops and cupcakes and huge “pink-cloud” screens! We’re in Candyfornia Heaven!
The show has finally started! Katy’s singing “Teenage Dream” and apparently she’s got all of her her background dancers with her!
Apparently the next songs were “One of The Boys”, “Waking Up in Vegas”, “Ur So Gay”, followed by fan favorite “Peacock”!!
Katy’s doing her first smash hit “I Kissed a Girl” now with a jazz version intro! Audience is going crazy during this one and looks like Katy is still kissing girls ; )
The powerful “Circle The Drain” is now followed by the new single “E.T.” (don’t forget to make sure you keep buying it on iTunes)!
“Who Am I Living For” and “Pearl” have just been performed.
“Not Like The Movies” was next and it looks like the set was a lot like Katy’s Grammy performance from last Sunday except the background visuals showed romantic scenes from classic Disney’s animated movies instead of her own wedding.
Katy called “The One that Got Away” from her latest album by it’s working title “In Another Life”.
It looks like Katy just covered her friend’s Rihanna “Only Girl” song and “played” the flaute LOL, before covering Will Smith’s daughter Willow “Whip My Hair” in a very fun medley! WHAT?! Happy Birthday RiRi, by the way! <3
Katy just performed another of her hits: the beautiful “Thinking Of You”.
You change your mind like a girl changes clothes… and in this case it apparently means a lot of on stage outfit changes for Katy during the fantastic “Hot N Cold”!!
It’s time for the amazing “Last Friday Night”! TGIF! TGIF! TGIF! And like Katy tweeted last Friday, the pix you tweeted her appeared on the screen during this one!!
Katy’s now doing her most recent HUGE hit “Firework”.
Katy went backstage for yet another outfit change and one of her background singers is singing a song while all the dancers are joining her in a special routine!
Greetings loved ones… it’s Katy singing “California Gurls”… in a skirt made out of cupcakes! She was also joined by the music video’s gummi bears in the end.
The show is about to finish and Katy is apparently now doing another cover! This time it’s Whitney Houston’s legendary “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)”! She’s bringing fans up on stage too, epic.

We have finally uploaded the exclusive official high quality covers of Katy’s new single “E.T.“! And it looks she teamed up with rapper Kanye West for a special release of the song! They have already shot a video for the cut from Katy’s “Teenage Dream” album with director Floria Sigismondi (who has worked with David Bowie, Marilyn Manson, Bjork, Christina Aguilera) and will be premiering soon! You can also view a pic where Katy appears as an alien creature alongside Kanye in the first photo from the intergalactic set. The single will also be released to radio this week.
